Mars analogue Field Work

Mars 2020/Perseverance Rover Operations And Science Team Training (ROASTT)

Built and deployed a field capable "Mock Up" of the Perseverance Rover using Cots field equipment. This included 6 DSLRs, a pan tilt unit, and multiple spectrometers. Coordinated two End to End excercise where the perseverance science team practiced rover operations by "driving" me in the field.

Landing Site Selection

HiRISE Map of Jezero landing site for the perseverance rover.

Perseverance/InSight

Critical part of landing site assessment and selection team for Perseverance and InSight missions. This involved a great deal of GIS, computer vision, and working across a variety of disciplines. I am one of the leading experts on choosing a place to land on Mars.

SPacecraft Operations

Perseverance/Ingenuity

Not only have I helped deliver spacecraft to Mars, I got to drive them as well! I was a science planner (Planning Integration Lead on Tactical) for Perseverance, and a Helicopter Integration Engineer for Ingenuity.
